Hi UW91. Do you think “summer 21’ swimsuits” would be best or “summer 21’ tan lines” would be more in the spirit of the site? I’m open to help out with either of these options ;)

how about do both , much in the vane of sometimes post of "Mr Atlas" with a double pic ...in the swimsuit and second pic outta the swimsuit and perhaps showing the tanlines if they are there !!

Luvladies—I am planning on doing some tanning tomorrow at the beach. Congruent with my tan line update post, I will do an on/off of my bikini tomorrow to get things rolling. How should we title the post to get others to join?

Mr. Atlas has done an outstanding job on his part, and Brown nips has done a great job of geting the tan line theme rolling.
No interest of the members here to participate.

Sadly, it seems that unless any ideas of this sort don't come from HHD,(and one other member whose name escapes me at the moment) nothing happens!
I mean, I know social media has killed sites / threads / thoughts like this, but sheesh.

To be honest I’d be good to post tan line pics, but not really much point as my posts don’t appear on any walls, just on the walls of my followers meaning that I get a limited number of licks. Even if they did get on walls and do well, the best they might score would be around 290 licks. On any given day there will be a non resident post scoring much higher on the latest most liked page, with up to 800 licks.

It is my belief that most members are just disillusioned about the way that the vote system is manipulated, and that they simply choose not to post anymore and possibly leave.

I don’t think that it’s a lack of interest, more of a lack of encouragement. I’d post more often if my posts went onto walls - but admin don’t seem to want to let that happen.

I've seen your tan line pics Englishrose, and wow, those are great.

I can't speak to the thought of how anything is manipulated here because I'm only a citizen.
I lick those contris I like or are in favor of and I follow a select few (to assure I see their posts on my wall)
One thing I have noticed lately is I will "lick" a post, log off when done. And when I log back on, my lick is not there.
Maybe this is the manipulation you speak of?

One thing is certain, there are some odd goings on here.
Lack of management and spotty participation from posters and ongoing complaints that never seem to get addressed by the powers that be here.
And even just the mere thought of anyone manipulating anything here should cause the powers that be to assuage those fears and assure the participants of any ideas of that sort.
Especially those vresidents!

But, I digress.
Lets hope the contest theme gains a foothold and something comes of it!

What is this Italian group / person you and Fotomac speak of?
I don't doubt what you guys say, but I would like to know so I don't comment and like or follow nefarious posters / deleters.

It’s a group of profiles created and serviced by one person. The profile makes a post, the others in the group lick and comment on it, or at least they were until yesterday when I commented on one of the posts.

You will notice that the pics all have a similar style, tone and feel about them. Check out recent posts by Caroline, Carlotte, Pikpanter….you will see what I mean.

What’s unusual is that they are all paid Residents (18 x $25 per year). It’s difficult to understand why they would pay to be residents, which gives the general 260 or so votes about 60% of which are auto generated by the site for Resident only posts. They are virtually always going to be second or third to an HHD post on the daily “latest most liked entries” wall, he simply has many more profiles and more dedication to licking and commenting on them.

It appears that the “Italian” poster wants to achieve a good lick score, and being a Resident and posting for Residents only is quite simply the easiest way to achieve that - along with the extra 18 or so extra licks from his own profiles.

Again, the site is about Freedom and as I’ve said before “c’est la vie”, but it’s also (or should be) about community, and one person having many multiple profiles just builds up a community within a community which usually does not work out well for the host community.

People "gaming" the contests here, and back to the VW days is why I think the contest part of the site is finished.
A now defunct site I was a member of had monthly contests where there was a cash payout to the winners and they had the same issues of entrants gaming the contests.
Guess it's just human nature?

And your last contri was lovely. Those tan lines are progressing nicely!

Maybe just "Pool Party Photo" would allow couples or amateurs to post quick shots again. Backyard photos are always good for quickies ;)
