There’s actually not that much backstory to this photo. It’s pretty much what it looks like. We were on a road trip with Mrs. Pix in her traveling clothes – naked – in the passenger seat. Came a time that we needed to fuel up, and Mrs. Pix was game for the classic pumping gas pic. It’s broad daylight, there is a well-traveled road in the background, and the gas station mini-mart is just out of view to the right. Behind us and to the left are some non-descript businesses.

There were no other cars actively pumping next to us, but there were certainly cars passing on the road in the background and any of them could have turned in without warning. Likewise, at any moment someone could have emerged from the mini mart. Who knows what other eyes may have caught a piece of this view. All these possibilities contributed to the adrenalin of the moment, so I’m a little surprised that this shot is not completely out of focus … thank the bright sunlight and fast shutter speed. We didn’t linger to shoot a whole series.

Someone will doubtless wonder about the one shoe and one bare foot: The companion photo to this one, already posted, shows both feet shod. In shifting to this photo, she stepped over the gas hose, which knocked off one of the shoes, creating this somewhat awkward composition.

This shot is from a once-upon-a-time trip we made in an open top convertible. She rode most of the way completely nude, though not quite as brazenly as you see here. With a little care on the highway, I kept us away from potential looky-loos, and when needed, she pulled across a cover that from a distance looked like a tube top, and she was comfortable enough with that.

Near the end of the trip, we started getting into dense traffic and had to raise the ragtop, but along the way there were remarkable roadside moments like this. This was not on the highway, obviously, but on an access road adjacent to it. We didn’t notice anyone noticing, but we didn’t stick around to find out if anyone did.

It seems that she has been right to feel comfortable, as we’ve never encountered any problem coming from it even though her nudity is visible through all the forward glass of the car.

Sometimes she has to get out of the car when it is not ok to just stroll around naked. Sure, she’s pumped gas naked, but for a quick photo-op, not just taking care of business. At these times, she seems to do a little calculation about just how much she needs to cover up in each situation. Sometimes that means getting fully decent – like going inside a roadside restaurant or walking around a crowded rest stop. But other times, like this one, she seems satisfied with the feeling of being “mostly” covered, especially if an available wrap is warm.

So here we paused for a break at a roadside rest stop with a picnic table set among trees. She was naked and feeling fine and seemed to think that a sweater was enough, so she strolled off to the picnic site, leaving me to bring our stuff … but of course, a few pics had to come first. (We did a full nude set at the picnic table, but that’s for another time.)

Here we find Mrs. Pix on a drive in her usual place beside me in the passenger seat, in her usual “traveling clothes”. This time we are in an open convertible, enjoying the Southern California sunshine on our way back from a day at a well-known nude beach on the Pacific Ocean. A good day. Having spent the day naked already, she didn’t feel the need to cover up right away and continued to enjoy living in just her skin, just a little while longer, as long as we were not immersed in too much traffic. As traffic did build, she eventually she did slip into her bikini, just to keep things legal.

The sun was bright, calling for the sun hat, but the wind from the road required holding onto it, else it would fly away.

It is pretty normal for Mrs. Pix to be nude in the car when we drive any considerable distance – in her “traveling clothes” as we call it – but usually I do the driving as she rides along beside me, naked in the front passenger seat. Once in a while, though, she will spell me and do some of the driving and doesn’t see a need to get dressed. This photo is from one of those times. Just to note, she does wear a seat belt – safety first – she just slipped out of it for a moment to make a better photo. Though this fits under the “flashing truckers” genre, she wasn’t really flashing the truck on her left, and besides, truckers don’t see down into cars in that position … this was just a little discreet indiscreet fun to lighten the mood on a long trip.
