[ Note: Some were interested in more photos from B2B despite the low quality, so here’s a couple more. This is from near the beginning before we separated from the rest of our friends who started with us. ]
This is a documentary photo of one of our experiences at San Francisco’s 12k/7.4mi “Bay to Breakers” walk/run/party. An unofficial element of this event is its infiltration by a faction of nudists in “Bare to Breakers”. The “Bare to Breakers” contingent has an organizing cabal with actual registration, special identifying hats (as if being naked weren’t enough) and claims status as a free-speech action. Ok. Noted. We were there to have fun.
We had friends in the crowd who were part of the registered group, but we preferred just to enjoy ourselves and so let the others go on their way and walked the route on our own once everyone got going. Btw, I was not naked, I was playing Sherpa for Mrs. Pix, carrying everything for the two of us, so once separated from our friends and on our own, this was essentially a CMnf exercise for us – something that appeals to my proclivities. We had a delightful time, as apparently did everyone near us. Yeah, including the cops. Oh, and especially the SFFD on that one firetruck.
Of course, there were photos. But it turned out that they were all pretty bad. Poor camera, moving subject, moving photographer, hand-held, jostling crowds, blah blah. I’ve been reluctant to share even this because the quality of the original shot was so low, I did not want show Mrs. Pix that way. But I’ve finally I’ve done what I can to “fix” the problems so that it’s “ok” as a quickie. I hope those of you who are less picky than I am will enjoy the immediacy of this shot at a remarkable life moment.
