Pixellator: Pixellator Asks .......

I have a question for followers/friends to answer or comment upon:

When first posting to VC some years back, I posted exclusively in the form of "contris" - photosets of usually 10 photos each, usually all from a single event or at least in a closely related theme. Those were usually displayed under Exhibitionist/Nude-in-Public, or sometimes Amateur/Erotic Art. The major downside for me in posting contris is the size limitation on the photos. After putting significant effort into making good pics, I hate seeing them mashed down into small formats, seriously coarsening them (IMHO) and losing detail. The upside was having a fairly coherent visual story of the episode portrayed.

I was persuaded by some followers to start posting individual shots to our blog, where full-res versions would be available just as I created them and I found that much more to my liking. You may have noticed that I especially like the occasional wide screen shot with high detal - something that could never survive in the "contri" approach. So I became a convert to posting pretty much exclusively here, to our blog. My penchant for telling a story is still part of my posting style, but now generally strung out over a series rather than as one coherent post.

I've almost never reposted a pic (at least very few if I have). So pretty much the whole universe of small-sized contri photos is a different set from those that have been posted to our blog at high resolutions so far.

So here's the question:

I've been thinking about reworking some of the past contri photos as full-res versions to post singly on our blog. Technically, that is not "reposting" since one is essentially a thumbnail of the other. And, the hi-res versions would be reworked from scratch from my point of view today rather than when originally posted in small form. I might slip in some new ones that didn't make it into the original set, but that would not be "reposting".

So whaddayathink? I've still got never-seen photos by the ton I will continue to work through and post (probably until I die) with new ones being captured frequently, but I wonder what your thoughts on this question might be.
