Hoping someone can enlighten me on how licks work?

On my recent "botomless" contri I counted the licks, currently in the mid 270's.

I posted for "V Citizens Only". I thought that by doing this I get double licks? If this is the case then I sholuld show around 550 licks.

Appreciate any feedback about just how licks work.

Hey Girl......all I can offer is my opinion on how licks work here and I will save those for another day .
my best advise is contact Jammer or hope he come in and offers his insight, he is the best "lick-olegist " here and has a great way of explaining and his valuable site "insight and workings "can be helpful to you I am sure !!

Are you are referring to your "The t shirt says it all!" post? If so, that shows as being posted for VResidents only and you are receiving double credit for the licks. You currently have 273 licks and are When I scroll down the list of all entries, your entry is in 24th place, and all of those ahead of it are also VR only posts. If you look a little further down, you will see the top VC post is in 43rd place and has 335 licks. For some reason, the all entry list does not show the doubled lick score for VR only posts, but it does appear to rank the entries in the correct order. Yet for some reason, the page that shows just the top 5 entries does show them with the adjusted score. So from what I can see, I would have to say the licks are being correctly tabulated for your entry, and for this contest.

That however, does not mean I think the current contest format is fair, appropriate or even sensible. But that's a discussion for another time and another thread...
